Western Digital has begin to ship its new line of Scorpio Black notebook HDDs. All drives features 7,200 revolutions per minute (RPM) spin rate, 16MB of cache, uses SATA 3 Gb/s interface, SecurePark for better shock characteristics, IntelliSeek to reduce power consumption, and WD’s ShockGuard technology to protects the drive mechanics and platter surfaces from shocks. The drives will be available with the sorage capacities range from 80GB to 320GB and the price will start from $250 upwards.
